I was reading the subject: SoundBlaster PRO thread, and, unfortunately
our news reader dropped off the original start of this. So, sorry if this is
a rundundant question, but, what was the original post about?
Maybe it is the same as my question?
When I installed everything, os/2, mmp2, [haven't been able to get the
SCSI on my Always IN-2000 live yet, with my Texel CD-ROM and Exabyte 8205, but,
I can only work on a few things at one time.
] BUT, adding the SBPRO into the
MM drivers isn’t very pretty. Most of the sounds come out ok, open/close
windows, etc… EXCEPT, that sometimes the speakers "squall" or something like
that. Now what I hear is some people have their computer make this noise, mine
is straight from the speakers, not the CPU, etc…
When I installed the MMP2, I had a choice of three Sound Blaster Pro
drivers, which is the RIGHT one. I’m sure I have the most, maybe, up-to-date
PROMS and such, but, I hate that squelling noise everytime I do something.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated!
)
ps – I already have the CDP upgraded DRIVERS for my Always card, and it STILL
doesn’t work – the system LOCKS UP on boot-up. As with the SBPRO, I
have the most up-to-date ROMs on the IN-2000, [I checked already.]
Help with this would also be appreciated. Thanks…
I would REALLY like to FULLY MIGRATE to this excellently devised os, but, not
until EVERYTHING that works under DOS, works under OS/2.
