Hello,
I’ve been playing with 2.1 GA for a week now, and I’ve noticed
a few things. First, I had trouble getting my mouse to work – I installed
an old mouse.sys – that fixed it.
Multi media seems to kill my downloads using TE/2 – when ever
a system event happens – there goes the connection. This doesn’t
happen with Logicomm.
I can not get the sound blaster to work with X Wing. I know it
should work – it used to under the 2.1 beta. System events happen
with the sound blaster but not with Xwing. Yes, I have set the DOS
settings to have assess to the sound device. Any ideas?
Deskpic doesn’t seem to work either, I’ve seen this posted on
the net as well.
System config:
33 Mhz, 486, 20 meg main memory, ISA bus.
500 meg Fujitsu SCSI drive, Adaptec 1522 SCSI contoller card.
Sound Blaster 2.0
Tseng Lab Card, 1 meg, running 1024×768 265 colours
3 1/2 and 5 1/4 drives.
Otherwise – 2.1 is VERY stable on my machine – crashed once –
15 seconds after the install – It hasn’t since – I’ve got a 10 meg swap
file.
